GROUP TRAINING CLASSES
PUP-START
CLASS DESCRIPTION
Did you recently add a new puppy to your family? Get a pup-start in building a positive relationship and developing the framework for success in their adult life by enrolling in this six week (first week is owners only, no dogs) class. Puppies must be between the ages of 8 to 20 weeks old and have at least had their Rabies and Bordetella by the start date in order to enroll. We will cover a variety of topics essential to raising a happy puppy and a happy you! The foundation of the commands for sit, down, place and come will be introduced as well as the concept of loose leash walking. We will also discuss the common puppy raising subjects of house training, crate training, proper socialization around people and other dogs and appropriate handling as well as learn how to curve naughty behaviors like mouthing, jumping and barking. Puppies who graduate from this class have the opportunity to test and earn their S.T.A.R Puppy from the American Kennel Club for an additional fee.

- All dogs must provide documentation showing proof of up-to-date Rabies and Bordetella prior to the start of the first session.
- Payment is due in full before the start of the first session. No refunds.
- Dogs must be non-reactive to other people or dogs on leash. No excessive barking, lunging, growling, snapping or other aggressive behavior.

BUILDING BASICS
CLASS DESCRIPTION
Have you recently added a new dog into your family and you want to start off on the right paw, or do you have a dog that needs a refresher on everyday commands? Our six week Building Basics class is structured to provide owners of dogs five months and older with a great opportunity to strengthen the relationship they have with their dog through fundamental behaviors like sit, down, place and come and learning how to incorporate them into real life scenarios. The main goal is to be able to have your dog reliably and consistency execute these commands in low levels of distractions. We will also discuss various aspects of impulse control as well as the concept of loose leash walking. Dogs who graduate from this class will be able to move on to our AKC Canine Good Citizen Preparation class that will be held later this year.

LEASH PULLERS ANONYMOUS
CLASS DESCRIPTION
Does your dog get easily distracted while out in the real world? Are you fed up with your dog pulling you around on walks? Then let's get started on making your outings more enjoyable again! Leash Pullers Anonymous is a five week class (first week is owners only, no dogs) designed to set the foundation for more engagement out on walks, stop pulling on leash and learning how to interact appropriately in public. Graduates will be eligible to enroll in the second part of this class called Around the Town Canine that will be offered later this year and focus on bringing all of these skills to different locations in surrounding areas. Please be advised that Leash Pullers Anonymous is not for dogs that are leash reactive to other humans or dogs. If you are struggling with this behavior, please reach out to Kelsey at kesslerkennelfarms.kelsey@gmail.com for additional training opportunities.
